Hyperpigmentation

Hyperpigmentation (dark spots) is one of the most popular concerns I hear from my clients. Usually hyperpigmentation is the result of a primary concern, like acne or hormonal imbalances. Chemical peels can help reduce the appearance of hyperpigmentation. This is the perfect season for Chemical Peels! Most of the time I discourage chemical peels during the summer months because sensitivities to the heat and the sun, the Fall and Winter are ideal for Chemical peels.

Along with getting Chemical Peels a comprehensive skincare regimen is recommended to help this war against hyperpigmentation. Below I have outlined a skincare regimen designed to address unwanted hyperpigmentation:

1--Wash your face twice a day with Skin BRIGHT Soap

This soap has turmeric and orange peel, designed to brighten skin

2-Use PCA Pigment gel HQ free

This serum has 3 powerful acids (Lactic, Azelaic & Kojic) to suppress melanin production

3- Moisturizer- of your choice, preferably a Vitamin C moisturizer

Vitamin C is great for brightening the skin and hydrating it at the same time

4-SPF!!!! (SPF 30 or higher)

SPF is a must! This will help protect your skin against hyperpigmentation and the harmful UV rays
