When I think about all of the events that has taken place in the past 3 months, my emotions go from deep sadness, to anger then returns to sadness. From the start of the COVID-19 pandemic to the brutal murders that have taken place in the black community. Racism has become a permanent fixture in our communities and unfortunately our children are living this harsh reality. They have a front row seat to witness these inequalities. The struggle is to maintain faith through it all, hoping and praying that this too shall pass. What can I do to help? How can I serve my community? The gift of service has become apart of my therapy.
